Got plans this weekend, ladies? If you’re engaged and ready to start dress hunting, it’s a good time to head to East Greenwich.

Couture Bridal Co. is having David Tutera and Sophia Tolli bridal gown trunk shows this Friday through Sunday, which are not to be missed. Tutera’s elegant 2013 spring collection features lots of lace and sweetheart necklines, and the silhouettes range from sexy, curve-hugging mermaid gowns to dramatic ball gowns and figure-flattering A-lines. Sophia Tolli’s collection is romantic and feminine (think tulle, beading and corset backs). Both are lines are beautiful, and trunk shows are an opportunity to see, feel and try on dresses you might otherwise not have the chance to experience. And it’s so true: It always looks different on than it does on the rack.

Those of you who received our Engaged e-newsletter last week should note that we made an error (oops — our apologies!) because this weekend is your only chance to catch a David Tutera trunk show in this area in the near future. Bridal Garden (also in East Greenwich) is not having a Tutera trunk show in March, nor is it having an Alfred Sung show in March as our newsletter stated.

Bridal Garden is, however, hosting Casablanca Bridal, Tara Keely and Winnie Couture trunk shows this weekend, Friday through Sunday.

Best of luck and happy hunting!
