Lisa and Ron

Tell us about your day: On September 2, Ron and I woke up very anxious and ready to see how our special day was going to go. It was not the easiest process planning a wedding on our own. Starting off with a rustic gun club hall and turning it into a beautiful wedding ceremony and reception…the fun began.
The ceremony was perfect. Reverend Deborah Hoch let us choose every word for our ceremony. She was great. After the ceremony we learned that our limo, which showed up dented and dirty, had left us so our whole wedding party had to walk up the road to a local swampy pond and take pictures. Our fantastic photographer, Katie Larsh, worked magic to give us beautiful photos.
Our guests dug into our clambake and enjoyed the Lake George, New York-themed décor around the gun club. We had photo cube centerpieces filled with white lilies, each cube named after a favorite spot of ours in Lake George. We also had a clothes line of pictures around the entire room and an amazing camping-themed cake that tied in the rest of our theme.

Later came dancing, laughing in our photo booth, drinking our favorite spirits with the people we love most, and ending the night with a Sparkler party outside.
As stressful as a DIY wedding is, it is absolutely worth every second in the end.
