Tell us about your day: Our wedding was held at Saphire Estate on February 7, 2014. We were lucky enough to get a snow storm the Wednesday before our Friday wedding. We had winter engagement photos done the year before when it snowed, so i hoped for snow for our wedding. Lucky enough we ended up with the snow for a beautiful wedding day. My theme was shades of blue and charcoal gray with accents of pine cones. Saphire Estate provided amazing food from cocktail hour to dinner. For cocktail hour one of our appetizers was a mini grilled cheese sandwich inside a mini mug of tomato bisque for a warm comfort food.
We chose Saphire for the rustic, warm and cozy feel. It was also a convenient location for both our families and friends since my husband is from Cumberland and I’m from Bridgewater, Mass. I chose all my flowers to be white with accents of gray, using silver brunia and dusty miller. I even purchased mini pine cones for the bouquets and boutineers. Our wedding cake was by Wrights Dairy Farm who designed an amazing wedding cake for us and handmade the flowers and mini pine cones. My husband loves plaid and found DC sneakers with a plaid design for all the guys to wear. For our outdoor photos I purchased cardigans for the bridesmaids and myself, which ended up looking so cute in our photos. Our cake topper was purchased off Etsy from “A Simple Start” to show off our little family, our fur babies Charlie and Kali. We wanted a laid back and welcoming feel to our wedding and that’s what we got.
