Aisle Say: Pouf and Sparkle

16 flower girls 1Princesses Hailee and Ainsley, my flower girls-to-be, are a couple of true fashionistas in the making.

By Amanda Parker

So I must admit something: I probably have the cutest flower girls EVER. Not only are they adorable, they are quite the fashionistas as well. They love to shop, enjoy sparkly crowns, jewels and have more sunglasses than Lady Gaga. Therefore, looking for dresses for them was even more difficult than looking for my dress (but definitely not as difficult as looking for my mom’s).

Fluffy, girly and princess-like were all qualities the perfect dress had to have. If it was up to Ainsley, the true fashionista of the two, she would probably pick a fluffy Vera Wang gown with feathered, sparkly heels. (She has expensive taste for three years-old. She also loves high heels — not joking.) So now you know what I’m working with here: two adorable divas in the making.

We’ve taken the girls shopping several times and always have a blast with them. However, they really enjoy trying things on…and then not taking them off. Essentially, they LOVE to get dressed up. So trying to get a big poufy dress off of them? Good luck, my friend.

We were at Neiman Marcus and there it was: the perfect dress. Ainsley loved it and felt “like a princess.”  Score! And Hailee also loved it because we told her how pretty she looked. They had their own runway fashion show in the store, and all the associates were coming over telling them how cute they looked. And then they didn’t want to take it off, which was (sort of) perfect. Hopefully that happens on the wedding day as well. These two will absolutely steal the show on August 30. I mean, who doesn’t love twin flower girls walking down the aisle who look (and feel) like a couple of princesses?
