To relax or not to relax: That is the question. Adam and I are both beachgoers, and our honeymoon will immediately follow beach season. While we would like to relax, do we really want to go from Narragansett Beach to some other beach? Alaska, Canada, California, Hawaii — we looked at all the options and were overwhelmed and clueless. While the thought of sitting on a beach and sipping on some frozen drinks for a few days sounded nice, it also sounded boring. So we decided not to plan it ourselves because, let’s face it, we don’t know everything that is out there.

We were referred to Annie’s Escapes so we set up an appointment. Owner and “escape artist” Ann Petronio quizzed us a little bit on what we were looking for and, although we still had no idea, she managed to present us with four options: California and Hawaii, a Mediterranean cruise, Barbados and the Grenadines, or Aruba. (Can we do all of them?!?!) Each of Ann’s proposals sounded phenomenal. They had such great detail and each trip sounded fun and unique. After going back and forth, Adam and I finally decided on the Mediterranean cruise. Chances are we will never do something like this again, so why not do it now? A seven night cruise to Florence, Cannes, Majorca, Barcelona and Naples and then a three night stay in Rome. Needless to say we can’t wait to drink some vino and eat our way around the Mediterranean.

I highly, highly suggest booking your honeymoon through a travel agent. There is enough stress with wedding planning the last thing you would want to do is to plan an entire trip and itinerary. It’s unneeded stress and could easily be avoided. Ann was so easy to work with and her trip proposals were so detailed. A decision that may have been extremely confusing before became super clear.
