Tell us how you met: We were friends in high school during our junior and senior years. My cousin Rachel attended Johnston High School and Vinnie was in our group of friends. I believe the first day we met was at the park in Johnston where he proposed just a few months ago. Vinnie joined the USMC and left for basic right after graduation in 2010. We kept in touch now and then until a few years ago when we started messaging each other every day. We would talk all day, every day, Skype weekly and take turns traveling between Rhode Island and North Carolina to see each other.
