A mishap turns into one of the best moments of the day at this Harbor Lights Marina wedding.
By Kaitlyn Murray
When Sophia first saw Justin during a freshmen hall meeting, she knew he was the one. “I immediately texted my friend and said ‘I’m going to marry this guy,’” Sophia recalls. The elegant affair featured a chic sweets table designed by Sophia’s mother and special appearances by the couple’s “fur baby,” who sported a bow-tie for the occasion.
With all of the unbridled emotion in the air during the ceremony, Sophia hardly noticed that it went rather quickly, and she and Justin were just happy to finally face the world as newlyweds. It wasn’t until they heard Justin’s best man say, “Uh, don’t you want these?” that the couple looked back and saw he was still holding the rings: The priest had skipped over the exchange entirely. Such a lapse might turn even the calmest of women into a bridezilla, but she and Justin were too busy laughing as they trekked back up the aisle.
Sophia still looks back on the moment with fondness. “It was hilarious,” she says. “It was just so us.”
