I never realized how much work goes into the bridal accessory search. Wasn’t it always just “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue?” When did it all get so complicated?
Although I will certainly be incorporating all of those “Something” elements into my final bridal look, it’s been a little daunting to figure out how everything will look together—and will everything stand the test of time? My most current concern has to do with my veil. At first, I didn’t want to wear one. Then I thought, why not? It’s a classic wedding essential and I think I would regret it if I didn’t. But now the questions remains: how long? Where do I fall between a demure blusher and Meghan Markle’s colossal 16-footer?
And then there are the shoes. This is the decision that my dress alterations depend on, so choosing the right shoe is nothing short of critical. I haven’t been able to nail down the specific look I want, but they’ll need to have a shorter heel, as my ceremony will be taking place outside. Cue the Pinterest search!
