Honeymoon Destinations Non-Stop From PVD

So you’ve tied the knot and now you’re ready to start the biggest adventure of the rest of your lives (your marriage!) with an epic trip (your honeymoon!). Luckily, there are plenty of direct flights to swoon-worthy honeymoon destinations straight from PVD airport (a.k.a Green Airport) that will inspire romance for a lifetime to come.


Orlando, Florida – Frontier Airlines, JetBlue, Southwest Airlines

Flight time: 2 hours, 55 minutes

There’s no better place to start your real-life fairy tale than at Walt Disney World. I mean, it’s a playground where brides can don a Minnie ears hat with a veil and grooms a matching Mickey ears tuxedo hat (#couplegoals). If you’re a Disney fan, this really is the most magical place on earth to begin the rest of your life.  

Where to stay: Start by booking a club-level room at a Walt Disney World resort hotel, which comes with access to the Disney Signature Services team. It’s their job is to help you create a customized vacation experience. Book “enchanting experiences” such as unique access or VIP tours, spa packages or a private dining experience with renowned chefs.

Where to eat: Head for a meal at the California Grill for spectacular views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks or enjoy a drink among the wildlife at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.

What to do: After a day enjoying the theme parks or outdoor activities (including parasailing and golfing), check out the nightlife entertainment at Disney Springs.

If Universal Orlando is more your theme park speed, check out some of the many package deals offered to travelers. If you’re up for it, splurge for VIP and private tour packages to ensure you two get the most out of your trip, enjoy each other’s company and create the most magical of memories.


Nantucket, Massachusetts – Southern Airways Express (seasonal)

Flight time: 50 minutes

A quick, tiny plane ride will bring honeymooners thirty miles off the coast of Cape Cod to ACK. Here you’ll find a plethora of beautiful beaches, museums filled with history, restaurants for foodies and shops for perusing. Nantucket is proof that you don’t have to travel far for a romantic, island experience.

Where to stay: For the full resort experience, head to the Wauwinet on the northeast side of the island, away from the hustle and bustle of town. For elegance and luxury, opt for a room, loft or full cottage at the White Elephant. For a less expensive option, try the Beachside which offers comfortable rooms within walking distance to town.

Where to eat: For breakfast, there’s no place better than Black Eyed Susan’s. Be prepared to wait at this tiny eatery, but know that the omelets and pancakes you are about to devour are worth it. For dinner, CRU Premier Oyster Bar is the clear choice with a seafood-filled menu including raw bar selections and a romantic setting overlooking Nantucket Harbor.

What to do: Heading to the beach should be your obvious first choice. With perfect sand and clear waters, you’ll delight in each other’s company throughout your day. When you’re ready to rinse off the sand, downtown Nantucket features a variety of boutique shops and art galleries, as well as the Nantucket Whaling Museum, perfect for history buffs and seafaring fans alike.   


Dublin, Shannon and Cork, Ireland – Norwegian

Flight time: 6 hours, 10 minutes to Dublin

The emerald isle is a great place to start your journey of love, and with non-stop flights to Ireland, it’s never been easier or more convenient to get to Europe from PVD. There’s plenty to do, see and enjoy in Dublin, Shannon and Cork individually, or make your own itinerary and hop among the cities.

Where to stay: The Merrion Hotel, located in Stephen’s Green in Dublin, is the epitome of class, elegance and quality service. Where to stay: Named one of the top romantic hotels in the country by TripAdvisor, the Kehoe House is a bed and breakfast in the midst of Savannah’s historic district. The mansion lodging offers a honeymoon package including Champagne and a private carriage ride through the city.

Where to eat: Dine among the graceful refinement of a twentieth century home at Elizabeth on 37th for an experience highlighting coastal cuisine and southern hospitality.

What to do: Take a trolley tour through the old historic district and hop off at Forsyth Park for a romantic stroll through the magnificent trees and along the famous fountain.


Toronto, Canada – Air Canada

Flight time: 1 hour, 40 minutes

Visit our Canadian neighbors to the north with a quick flight to Toronto, a city perfect for a honeymoon any time of year.

Where to stay: The Drake Hotel has mastered chic modernity with its hip, avant guard decor and creative, cozy rooms. Enjoy free yoga and spinning class at nearby facilities. When you’re ready to settle in for the evening, explore the hotel’s intimacy selections on the room service menu.

Where to eat: Prepare for a meal of luxury at Alo, a contemporary French restaurant offering tasting menus paired with distinguished wines in a chic setting.

What to do: Stroll the Toronto Botanical Gardens hand in hand.  


West Palm Beach, Florida – JetBlue, Southwest Airlines (seasonal)

Flight time: 2 hours, 50 minutes

Now that the stress of your wedding is over, maybe you’re just looking to spend some time soaking up the sun and relaxing by the pool. If so, hop on a non-stop flight to Florida for a beachy experience.

Where to stay: When it comes to famous hotels in the area, there’s nothing like the luxury of the Breakers. The world-class hotel drips in luxury with multiple pools, beach front access and service like no other. What to do: Lay on the beach for the day, then head to downtown West Palm Beach at night for shopping, food, drinks, and, on Thursday nights, attend the Clematis by Night event including live music for dancing with your loved one.


Washington, D.C. – Washington Reagan National: American Airlines, Southwest Airlines; Dulles: United Airlines

Flight time: 1 hour, 25 minutes

Washington, D.C. is perfect for lovers as it is filled with deluxe accommodations and dining options and, of course, monuments and museums galore.

Where to stay: Sophisticated luxury comes alive at the Jefferson, a Forbes 5-star boutique hotel that prides itself on service and an extravagant atmosphere. Spoil each other with spa experiences and Champagne.

Where to eat: You won’t have to go far to eat at Plume, the Jefferson’s fine dining establishment. Request the restaurant’s most romantic table, the “Nest,” a private banquette located beneath a century-old chandelier. Opt for brunch at another of the hotel’s restaurants, the Greenhouse, located beneath a celebrated skylight.

What to do: Washington, D.C. is all about wandering and seeing the sights. Hit up the National Mall for a picnic, visit the Lincoln Memorial at night to see it lit up spectacularly or head to the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden in the winter when you can ice skate with your sweetie on the fountain site.


Nashville, Tennessee – Sun Country Airlines

Flight time: 2 hours, 30 minutes

When planning your honeymoon, don’t overlook the smaller cities where you’re apt to have a more intimate experience. Nashville offers a country vibe with tons of attractions for music lovers.

Where to stay: Head to the Inn at Fontanel for a luxury boutique experience featuring six exceptional suites all connected by a large, wrap-around porch. The rooms all feature elegant decor, and some have kitchenettes and even roof top patios. The grounds include a courtyard, gardens and pond with a fountain and waterfall for romantic walks with your honey.

Where to eat: Head to Tempered Cafe and Chocolates for a day time adventure filled with, you guessed it: all things chocolate. Nosh on truffles and caramels, enjoy a brunch or enjoy the Absinthe Lounge during the eatery’s Green Hour when multiple creative cocktails are served in addition to absinthe drinks.

What to do: Enjoy a night of music when you book the Goo Goo Date Night package at the Nashville Symphony, which includes two concert tickets, two glasses of wine and chocolates to share. Couples can also upgrade to a package including dinner for two at Omni’s Kitchen Notes.


New Orleans, Louisiana – Sun Country Airlines

Flight Time: TBD

PVD will begin non-stop flights to New Orleans this fall, offering couples a chance to celebrate their love and marriage in one of the country’s liveliest cities.

Where to stay: For a private experience with your honey, head to Audubon Cottages located in the French Quarter. The seven private cottages offer seclusion among a lush courtyard, brick paved paths and accents and a saltwater pool, all within walking distance of the city’s best attractions.

Where to eat: Galatoire’s Restaurant on Bourbon Street has been serving up French Creole cuisine for over 100 years. With dishes like chicken Clemenceau and crabmeat Sardou, a reservation here is the perfect excuse to dress up and enjoy an authentic regional meal with your new spouse.

What to do: Take cooking class together! Learn the basics of Creole New Orleans, Louisiana Cajun or Creole Italian cuisines at the National Food and Beverage Foundation.


Las Vegas, Nevada – Sun Country Airlines (effective 9/6/19)

Flight time: TBD

There’s more to Las Vegas than partying; in fact, the city can be incredibly romantic with its exclusive hotels, restaurants, casinos and other attractions. Non-stop service from PVD begins this fall.

Where to stay: Opt for a room at the Palazzo, The Venetian’s classic, contemporary sister property. Suites here are some of the largest in the city and guests are able to access the amenities shared with the Venetian. Be sure to enjoy a romantic gondola ride through the canal.

Where to eat: Head to Picasso in the Bellagio, where the food is fantastic, but it’s the atmosphere that will take your breath away. Paintings by Pablo Picasso grace the walls and diners on the patio will find themselves just beyond the gentle spray of the Bellagio’s fountains.

What to do: When you’ve exhausted all of the gambling, nightlife and dining activities the city has to offer, head up into the sky for romantic views. The High Roller at the Linq hotel is the world’s tallest observation wheel, or head up the Eiffel Tower at the Paris Hotel for an observation deck forty-six stories high.
