How We Met
Tom and Katie met during a Thursday summer night in July of 2012. A backyard game of volleyball first brought them together, a local running race brought Tom back the next week to see Katie again and the rest is history.
Our Proposal Story
Tom took Katie on a hike with two friends to the Pinnacle (a local hiking trail in New Preston, CT). Katie had no suspicions, but at the top of the mountain, Tom and friends laid out a picnic blanket. We munched on snacks for a bit, then Tom handed Katie a Kinder Surprise egg. (We’ve had those chocolate eggs in the house so it wasn’t unfamiliar to Katie). She opened it and, instead of a toy inside the capsule inside the egg, there was an engagement ring. Tom got onto one knee and asked Katie to marry him and she said yes!
